Embarking on your educational journey abroad involves understanding the intricacies of the application process. As an agency dedicated to facilitating this transition, we aim to make this journey smoother for students and their support networks.
In general, programs fall into two categories:
Open Access and Restricted Access.
i) Open Access: These programs typically adhere to normal entry requirements without mandating an entrance exam.
ii) Restricted Access: This category often requires an entrance exam alongside standard entry requisites, such as the SAT or TOLC (Test Online CISIA).
Undergraduate Programs
The standard entry requirements include:
1. High School Diploma: Equivalent to a minimum of 12 years of education.
N.B If you have done Cambridge or ZIMSEC you need to have a
minimum of 3 Advanced level passes (not AS level) and these should
align with the Bachelors program that you want to study.
2. International English Language Proficiency Certificate: Universities generally accept various certificates, with IELTS Academic Certificate (B2 level) being a common choice.
We offer a specialised Crash Course to attain this level, available both in-person (in Zimbabwe) and Online. For more information about this course and how to enrol please click below:
3. Transcript of Records [You can obtain this document from your high school (if you are apply for an Undergraduate degree) or your University (if you completed you are apply for your Masters). This document should outline the results you obtained during your high school career or your University career if you are applying for a Masters degree].
4. University Entrance Exam Certificate: Mandatory as per the national education system (if required). After high school specific countries require students to write a further entrance exam to be placed in University. The certificate you obtain after this therefore becomes a requirement. There are other countries such as Zimbabwe where you do not need to write this exam, upon completion of high school (A levels) you can apply for University. Therefore students from Zimbabwe do not need this certificate as an entry requirement.
5. Valid Passport with a minimum of three years until the expiration date.
6. Application Fee: Required by some universities.
7. Some Universities require a separate exam [TOLC or SATs or IMAT (this last one is for admission into Medicine and Dentistry)] where your acceptance will be determined by the score you obtain. N.B This exam is separate from the English language Certificate obtained by taking an exam such as the IELTs.
Master's Programs
The prerequisites align closely with Bachelor's criteria, adding the necessity of a Bachelor's Degree with Transcript of Records.
